In real life, the whole world would be watching and I'd have to come out and defend myself against that guy with two heads."

It was also a great play for Beier, as it demonstrated how he could score when he was clearly tired and in no danger.

"To score an effort like that in a bad situation - for every person who went out there thinking it was just going to come back and be a success - it gives us a huge advantage because when we're in the position we're in it gives us confidence that we can continue to perform like we're a professional football team," Beier said.

Beier's comments came just ahead of Manchester United's match with Sunderland - and he also spoke about the new, four-man midfield at United when the press conference was held.

"A couple of weeks ago on the United podcast we talked about how we're trying to bring back some of the qualities that came in from our years at the club. Now I'd like to think we're getting there," he said.

"There's certainly some positives with the additions of Nemanja Vidic and Marcus Rashford. The three of them together with Phil Jones and Rashford provide some excellent attacking players that could potentially be the fulcrum for the defence.

"The other great positive is that I think at the moment, having made our move and got those players through, when you look at our roster for this season, I don't think there's anybody that's left, and that makes me really happy. So I'm sure that's going to be the theme to the week ahead."

He also talked about the future of the club's iconic stadium, pointing out that it's "not only the stadium that we want to use again after the last game, it's also the vision of the club for the future."

It's understood that Beier is considering a move to the club's new training ground next season at Old Trafford, but we've reached out for comment from United to find out more.

Eurobodalla council rejects marine park plan, tells councillors

Dalton Council has rejected a proposal to build a marine park in the town's Dalston Park.

The Dalston Park development, which will include an amphitheatre and a museum, was proposed by Dalston Community Council.

"The plan, as proposed, does not reflect that the community's interests will be served," read a statement from Dalston council.

"It would be inappropriate for us to accept this proposal without considering its impact on the many services that are provided by local community agencies, the local schools and many other aspects of the local community."

An official statement issued by the council read: "The Dalston Town Council's position on a proposal for a marine park in the town of Dalston Park has not changed since the council delivered its review in November 2012.

"We strongly believe that it is the responsibility of all of our people, regardless of social status or community background, to make a contribution to the wider community. The role of the marine park is to provide a haven for the local community and the marine park is to be seen as a community resource.

"There are several other groups in the community, including the community of Balcombe, who would benefit from the marine park but no other groups have expressed interest to see their interests taken into account at the review."
